Go AWAY Rain.
Six gutter extentder jobies: $60.00
Two floor squeegies and poles: $20.00
Digging ditches, sweeping out gallons of water: Much hard work, sweat and tears
... A House that is starting to dry out: Priceless
A falling-down 1933 cottage gets a new lease on life. Or ... that's the plan.

I somehow stumbled on your blog. I so get your grand vision for your charming home. I've been captive to all your posts and your beautiful pictures. My best wishes and I hope the rain stops for you.
I am sorry about the water, I am scared to mention that I have had a ( knock on wood) dry basement for 2-3 years now.. It has alot to do with relandscaping the outside and making the water drain away, lots of gutters and a little bit of drylock paint.. I wish you good luck...
Sorry to hear about the water. Knock on wood, we're still doing okay. I have a friend who has more than a foot of water in her basement. It seems like the water is slowing down- I hope it dries out quickly! (I can't post my info because my blog isn't a Blogger blog, so I'll add my comment anonymously.)
