Yes, this is good
PS. Want to know a secret? It was Frank, of all people, that hit on the color. We were driving down the highway and I was complaining that all these yellows kept being too yellow - even when I thought they were mostly tan or off-yellow... and he said "Why don't you try that color over there - that dead grass color." I said, "You mean that golden wheat color?" And that solved the problem, wheat/camel/dead grass... whatever, it works.

VERY nice. Actually- having the triangles a little darker accent is nice too... Maybe consider keeping them darker?
My dear, you get the stamina award. Don't let anyone ever tell you that they slaved on choosing a wall color...you have truly been there and done that! Nice color, by the way. Very pleasing to the eye.
thank you n&s and meg - it feels so good to be settled on this finally. What has it been, two months about picking a color... now to move on to the bedroom - hope it doesn't give me as much trouble.
And about those triangles... Frank says leave them too, they go with the curtains. Several other people who have popped in have said the same - leave it - but I don't think I'm going to. I think I want them lighter. It feels too much like that's the outside of the house - you know how sometimes they paint the outside of houses like that or accent the top that way....
What a pretty and soft color! Your art work will look beautiful against it...great choice!
Perfection! Just love this color! I really like the darker accent too but I'm sure that when you have painted that out it will be just as lovely.
Ohhh I love the color! I do like the triangles darker as well but I am sure they will look fab lighter as well. Good luck with a bedroom color!
hi, pam, i wandered over here from HGTV and I have to say, I've fallen in love with your blog and your house.
hope you don't mind.
great job on the house. it's perfect. i love perfect little houses.
Good enough?! It's wonderful. I wish I lived there.
thank you everyone :) Time goes by and I still love the color in here - I think it's exactly what was needed!
Aha! Dead grass! That's it!!
Last time we painted I was going for the same color but I could only describe it as being the same as those little cookies that look like a flower and have a hole in the middle. My husband couldn't relate. And the walls ended up being a tad too cream, in my opinion. But I did manage to avoid the "too yellow" issue.
We'll be painting again in the near future. Thank you for the "dead grass" term. I am sure my husband will be able to relate to it! :-)
